As the countdown continues to the return of the Mondello Truck Show in seven weeks time, (20/21 July), the uniqueness of the two-day event comes to the fore in that the on-track action is never seen or heard at any other show of its type in Ireland.Mondello Truck

The hugely successful shows held at Mondello Park in the past had a programme full of on-track action alongside the truck displays, trade stands and competitions and the re-established event will not fail to disappoint.

Entertainment and excitement is assured with a selection of the top trucks from the British Truck Racing Championships taking part in a number of demonstration races over the two days. Big name drivers from the FIA European Series will also participate in their 1000hp+ MAN TGS racing machines. Also on the race card will be a number of competitors from the UK Pick-Up Truck Championships headlined by top Irish contender David O’Regan from Cork in his Fleet Transport backed Ford Ranger for the Pick-Up Truck versus Racing Car challenge. Additional track activities including a round of the Irish Time-Attack Championship, the Courier Challenge to find Ireland’s fastest courier company and the popular Stop & Go Challenge for tractor units on the main straight.

John Morris, Managing Director at Mondello Park is pleased to see the full return of the Mondello Truck Show. “We are really pleased to reinstate the complete spectacle that is the Mondello Truck Show, where the action on the track blends in well with the truck and trade displays to provide visitors with a full programme of interest and entertainment,” he said.

“Like any Truck Show, big interest will be generated by the Static Displays where truck owners and truck drivers can compare and contrast each others ‘pride and joy’, while also vying for big prizes from Top Truck to Best Working Truck to Best Kept Fleet etc. But it will be with the on-track entertainment that the Mondello Truck Show that compares to no other and provide a great time for all the family to enjoy.”
