Blakes Self Loading Vehicles – based on the outskirts of Norwich, has taken delivery of its second  new Scania purchased through TruckEast.  Blakes

Established for over 25 years, Blakes specialises in crane assisted haulage, low loader hire and machinery movements.

Blakes opted for one of Scania’s comprehensive range of Euro 6-certified truck engines – the R450LB8, purchased and supplied with Scania’s standard 2+2 repair & maintenance contract.

Anyone who needs 450 hp, not least European customers with tractor-trailers, can now choose between two versions of Scania’s well known 13-litre engines at that power level.

In its latest configuration it uses only SCR after treatment technology, and thus is expected to become a strong favourite among customers, especially long-haulage firms who prioritise low diesel consumption.

Blakes recent purchase was supplied with the standard 2+2 Scania Repair and Maintenance Contract – the ultimate way to take a firm hold on your operating costs.

“This is the second new Scania Blakes have purchased from TruckEast.  We look forward to supplying Scania Trucks to meet their new vehicle needs in the future” James Crouch – Area Sales Manager, TruckEast
