IMS Limited, one of the leading distributors of premium products to the commercial vehicle market in the UK and Ireland, has appointed Craig Lawton to oversee fleet sales in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Craig was formerly sales manager at D.B. Wilson & Co Ltd in Glasgow, supplier of commercial vehicle equipment and will take up his position from August 1st.
Ben McEvoy, fleet sales manager at IMS welcomed Craig by saying, “He brings to IMS considerable experience and technical knowledge of the commercial vehicle market in Scotland and Northern Ireland, and I look forward to working with Craig as IMS continues to expand and grow in key markets throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland through our leading brands of SAF, VSE, Alex Rims and Outset.”
“I have always worked in the commercial vehicle industry, in fact it runs in the family” said Craig. “My first job was with my fathers motor company in Glasgow whilst studying motor mechanics at Springburn College, Glasgow. I continued gaining valuable experience by working as a mechanic with York Trailers for four and a half years, before moving to D.B. Wilson & Co Ltd as a sales representative in 1990 followed by promotion to sales manager. They recently won the prestigious IAAF CV Distributor of Excellence Award.
