The International Road Transport Union (IRU) has welcomed the action taken by the European Commission to begin infringement proceedings against Germany over its minimum wage legislation to international road transport operations.
The IRU is urging the EC to complete the infringement procedure as rapidly as possible in order to provide clarity to all transport operators.
In the meantime, the IRU is calling for an immediate moratorium of the German legislation on all affected international transport operations in and out of Germany.
