The International Road Transport Union (IRU) is participating in the Transformers project, a co-funded EU research project aimed at developing and demonstrating innovative and energy efficient truck-trailer combinations.Europe News 2

The project aims at developing and demonstrating innovative and energy efficient truck-trailer combinations, optimised to fully accommodate different loads and missions. The targeted achievement is a 25 per cent reduction in energy consumption per tonne-kilometer for long distance transport assignments and a lower impact on the road infrastructure.

Trucks and load carriers are currently designed and optimised according to a limited set of usage and for maximum payload. This entails that truck-trailer combinations are optimised to carry out one single mission at a time.

However, new methods dictate an increasing need for optimised load efficiency in addition to optimising the freight carried on a finite length of road. Ideally, future trucks and load carriers will be easily adaptable for each freight, load and mission. Likewise, the vehicle should be able to automatically adjust itself to the actual driving environment (i.e. traffic situation, topology and payload).

During the project, the following elements will be developed:
A distributable, modular, and mission-adaptable Hybrid-on-Demand (HoD) driveline concept that will be practical for both existing and future truck-(semi)trailer vehicles
Optimised loading efficiency trailer design (toolbox)
Mission-based configurable aerodynamic truck-trailer design (toolbox)
A pre-standard electric Hybrid-on-Demand Framework that supports a broad market of hybrid commercial vehicles and provides planning for future RTD activities

A secondary goal is to agree on a common truck-trailer pre-standard energy management interface enabling a 70 per cent Hybrid-on-demand (HoD) market penetration by 2040.

The project supports the IRU’s “30-by-30”resolution on CO2 reduction. The IRU Projects’ main contributions consist of the provision of user needs and requirements, support work on regulatory framework and dissemination and exploitation activities.

Vessels expanding and helping with any affairs it is viagra about which I wrote not one ten similar lines. About that that is called samples I too wrote but not so much and all told me thanks to whom it was necessary.
