Griffins Logistics is celebrating its 10th anniversary of being in business. The family-run firm opened for business in 2003 after husband and wife Richard and Cathy Griffin set up the company with a fleet of eight trucks.

Units lined upJust one year later the company joined Palletforce, the UK and Europe’s leading palletised distribution network, and now runs a fleet of 20 trucks.

“There is no secret to reaching this milestone – just hard work,” said Owen Griffin, Business Development Manager.

“We have customers who have been with us since we first set up, which is something we are very proud of and it speaks volumes about our commitment to providing quality service at all times.”

Griffins Logistics employs 40 people at its depot in Tuxford, Nottinghamshire, which includes a 20,000 sq ft trans-shipping area.

As part of Palletforce, the UK’s and Europe’s leading pallet network, Griffins Logistics specialises in pallet distribution throughout the UK and Europe.

The Palletforce network is made up of over 100 depots that feed into a central Hub with the transport firms working together to reduce the number of empty lorries on the road and cut down on the number of unnecessary journeys.

“We joined Palletforce because we wanted to grow the company and wanted to be part of a network that worked to the same principles of providing reliable, high quality service at every level,” said Owen.

The company now works with customers across a variety of sectors and distributes ‘anything that can fit on a pallet’ including fence panels, bricks, cables, barbecue skewers, paint and yarn.

“Our main priority is to continue consistently delivering the excellent service that has helped us to build such a solid reputation over the past decade as a quality company,” said Owen.

Griffins Logistics marked its 10 year anniversary by treating staff and customers to a celebratory meal.

“It is fantastic to see Griffins Logistics reaching this milestone in its history and still focusing on the quality service that is the foundation of future success,” said Michael Conroy, Chief Executive of Palletforce.
