In an important conquest deal, Felixstowe-based container transport and logistics company, Seven Lincs, part of Seven Group Ltd, has taken delivery of its first Renault trucks. Supplied by Renault Trucks dealer, Renault Trucks Felixstowe, the three new Range T 460.25 6×2 TML E6 tractor units went on the road in early December, joining the Seven Lincs fleet of 50 DAF trucks.

Seven LincsFuel economy is a key factor for Seven Lincs and the company is taking advantage of Renault Trucks’ Fuel Eco package that includes Optifuel driver training. Commenting on the decision to bring the first Renault trucks into the fleet, Seven Lincs Managing Director, Tim Forman, says: “The new Range T is a real step up for Renault, a high performance vehicle that’s very well equipped with the latest technology. It’s easy to drive with a gearbox that is a marked improvement on previous models. The ‘walk round’ cab has been well received by our drivers who like its size, roominess and storage. As for fuel consumption, the trucks have turned in a pretty impressive performance in their first week, so we’re looking forward to seeing how low they can go once the drivers have had their Optifuel training and the trucks are fully run in.”

The three Range Ts operate out of Seven Lincs’ Felixstowe site on container haulage work across the UK, covering 1,500 miles per week and are the first Euro 6 trucks to join the Seven Lincs fleet.

Peter Todd, Commercial Sales Manager, Renault Trucks Felixstowe, says: “Seven Lincs is a prestigious fleet in our area and we are very pleased to see some of the first Range Ts going on the road in their distinctive livery.”
