Burnt Tree, the UK’s largest independent commercial vehicle rental and contract hire company has won a major Sector Award as part of the British Safety Council International Safety Awards for 2014.
Out of 521 organisations that won overall BSC International Safety Awards this year, just 33 companies, including Burnt Tree, were shortlisted by the panel of adjudicators as deserving candidates for the 12 new sector awards.
Burnt Tree was the winner of the Wholesaler and Retail Services Sector Award and, at the prestigious ISA Gala Dinner held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London this month, Burnt Tree’s Deborah Greenall and Charlie Bailey received the Sector Award from the awards event organisers.
Linda Armstrong, OBE, Chair of the Trustees of the British Safety Council, congratulated Burnt Tree on its success in winning the International Safety Award with Merit. “The British Safety Council commends Burnt Tree on their achievement. The award is in recognition of the commitment and effort to keep their employees and workplaces free of injury and ill health. Our warmest congratulations go to Burnt Tree.”
