Waberer’s International Zrt has acquired an additional 500 Schmitz Cargobull trailers. In a relationship dating almost 15 years, Waberer’s has purchased a total of approximately 8,000 Schmitz Cargobull trailers, which still comprise the majority of Waberer’s trailer fleet.

Waberers featured“The standardized high-quality production of Schmitz Cargobull trailers and the innovations to reduce operational costs strengthen the ability of Waberer’s International Zrt. to continuously increase its operational efficiency,” – said Mr. György Wáberer when the agreement was signed, adding that the long-term partnership had facilitated their cooperation in the field of technology development as well.

As an example, he mentioned the development of the trailers’ extendable corner column technology, which facilitates loading of pallet goods more efficiently at a full loading width. Waberer’s will be among the first to get trailers delivered by Schmitz Cargobull with new-technology cold-rolled steel chassis.
The order signedaligns with Waberer’s strategy to dynamically increase the Company’s traffic from/to Germany. The German market is the most important market for Waberer’s International Zrt.; it represented approximate 28 per cent of its revenues in 2014. In 2014, revenues deriving from customers and destinations in Germany increased 10 per cent as compared to the previous year. In 2014, a total of 2 million tons of goods were delivered through Waberer’s transportation and forwarding activities from/to points in Germany and other countries within the EU.
More than 1,200 truck-trailers loaded at German sites every week in 2014. Waberer’s vehicles completed 107 million kilometres on the road in Germany in 2014, with relevant toll charges paid by the Company to Germany amounting to almost €20 million.
