Schmitz Cargobull has introduced a new multi-function floor that incorporates a new welding process developed in the UK, bringing the manufacturer’s trademark innovation to a further part of the trailer.

The MF6 Multi-Function Floor is now incorporated as standard on all Schmitz S.KO Cool refrigerated trailers.

Designed and developed in-house, the MF6 Multi-Function Floor not only reduces trailer weight – therefore increasing payload – but also offers better grip, a longer life expectancy and quieter operation.
Manufactured from full-length extruded aluminium planks, the MF6 can be more effectively heat-treated to give it a harder, more durable finish that is also five per cent lighter than traditional aluminium flooring. The planks are welded on the underside using a new form of friction welding process called stir welding. Developed in the UK, this process does not use a donor metal, but uses a lip on the edge of the parent extrusion, eliminating weld defects.
The floor also incorporates longitudinal grooves with cross-wise knurling which has been TÜV-certified to provide the optimum friction coefficient for securing palletised goods and rollcages. Six load securing profiles formed into the floor make it quick and easy to fit vertical locking bars, and provide increased security with flush-mounted locking profiles for the bars in the floor and roof.
Additionally, the floor profile is structured so that when water jets are used for rinse-down, the waste water is guided to the rear of the trailer via the longitudinal grooving, rather than splashing up onto the internal walls. This makes cleaning quick and easy – in fact, it is possible to deep clean the entire floor area in less than 10 minutes. This also reduces water puddle formation on the floor surface, which is common in conventional trailer flooring.
Finally, the floor exceeds the PIEK noise requirements, with a noise level of less than 60db during loading and unloading, making it perfect for late night operations in residential areas.
Paul Avery, Managing Director, Schmitz Cargobull UK, says: “Flooring is often overlooked when it comes to trailer innovation, but we are delighted to offer something that provides the same level of innovation you’d expect to find on any other component of a Schmitz Cargobull trailer. In simple terms, the floor makes a trailer quieter, lighter, more secure, easier to clean and longer-lasting – all of which also means a higher residual value.”

Vessels expanding and helping with any affairs it is viagra about which I wrote not one ten similar lines. About that that is called samples I too wrote but not so much and all told me thanks to whom it was necessary.
